SCHENGEN ZONE TRAVEL INSURANCE

essential insurance for individuals travelling to the Schengen area.

SCHENGEN

In June 1985, 15 European countries agreed in Schengen, Luxembourg, to end the internal border controls of persons, providing necessary checks have been completed upon first entering one of the 15 participating countries. The advantage of this “area of free movement of persons” is that travellers only need one visa for the entire Schengen Area.

VISA

However, not all European countries are part of the Schengen zone and there are different types of visas. To obtain a Schengen visa you must produce proof of adequate insurance cover for emergency treatment, hospitalization, urgent ambulance transportation and medical evacuation back to your home country. The insurance must cover at least 30.000 € at the moment your visa is delivered to you.

EXPAT & CO’S

Expat & Co’s Schengen Zone Travel Insurance has been designed to comply with these regulations and more. Schengen Zone Travel Insurance covers you for business and leisure travel in Schengen countries and extended areas.
